2.2L MEFI Turbo Engine
The 2.2L MEFI turbo engine performs much like a 3.0L engine and is made of aluminum alloy which provides properties of light weight, high rigidity, and superior heat dissipation. The weight of the engine is lighter than other engines of the same displacement by 13% to effectively reduce gasoline consumption by reducing the overall vehicle weight. Also, the superior heat dissipation characteristic of aluminum alloy prolongs the engine life and reduces carbon deposits to maintain the optimal performance and efficiency.
Tiggo FL has the same configuration as those of luxury sedans, at the price of an ordinary sedan. The richer, more refined and more user-friendly configuration has changed the broad-brush image of the traditional SUV and brought the fine feeling of a new concept sedan
Tiggo FL is equipped with the self-developed efficient and energy-saving engine Acteco and has the similar weight with the other grades of sedans, so that Tiggo FL enjoy the similar or even lower fuel consumption with that of the sedan; consequently it is capable of riding in the city freely at a low cost.
Self-Learning Intelligent Transmission
Designed and manufactured by Aisin of Japan, one of the world leading transmission manufacturers in the world, this small, lightweight, and efficient 5-speed transmission system provides low fuel consumption, quiet operation, and smooth gearshifts. The EMS (engine management system) is calibrated and fine-tuned by Delphi in US in order to deliver strong and smooth power delivery.
European Chassis System
The chassis of LUXGEN7 MPV is developed in collaboration with Magna, the world-leading Austria-based chassis specialist; and Prodrive, an internationally renowned chassis calibration and fine-tuning service provider based in UK. After countless calibrations and adjustments, LUXGEN has successfully integrated safety, space efficiency, European flavored handling and comfort into the LUXGEN7 MPV. Delphi provided the calibration and tuning assistance of the steering system with a collapsible steering column in an event of frontal Impact to minimize injuries on the driver car accidents.
Harsh Environment Quality and Endurance Tests
The harsh environment tests conducted in China include the high temperature tests in Turfan Basin (47 °C), high dust test in Hunching desert, and high elevation test in Mt. Kunlun (approx. 5,500-6,000m). The extreme low temperature tests were conducted in the arctic regions of China and Russia. The Luxgen Testing team has traveled to Europe, America and Asia to test the quality and durability of LUXGEN7 MPV.
